Readers' Blog: Roses from different backgrounds needed

Like a lot of little girls (especially growing up in Kerry) I watched the Rose of Tralee. I looked forward to the festival.

But I never wanted to be a Rose. I would have preferred to have been up on stage doing the interviewing.
