The death of a homeless man in the emergency department of Tallaght Hospital is a terrible tragedy. He did not present himself for treatment but died on Saturday afternoon unnoticed — four hours after he first went in and took a seat in the hospital. The death shows just how busy and chaotic emergency departments really are with staff run off their feet and working long hours. But that someone could be lying there dead and nobody checked is quite unsettling.

There is a huge problem in Irish Hospitals with vulnerable people turning up looking for warmth or shelter from the elements and often they are turned away by security but that didnt happen in this case .
