Minister urged to speed up repayments

I COMMEND the Minister for Health and Children, Mary Harney, for her department’s quick response to the Supreme Court ruling declaring that her previous decision to refuse to make restitution to long-stay residents of community hospitals was unconstitutional.

It is now imperative that full repayment is made quickly to all who have had money from their social welfare entitlement wrongfully deducted.
