New vehicle owners caught in tax trap

THE Government-influenced committee who told the public that scrapping vehicle registration tax would increase the average road tax to €900 conveniently forgot to mention it would also mean that people here would be able to save thousands by buying a vehicle outside one of the most expensive areas in Europe to purchase one.

What with risk equalisation and the refusal to consider new café bars, it seems to me that Fianna Fail consider ‘competition’ to be a dirty word.
