THE admission by Aer Lingus last week that it proposes to end its cargo services from Cork merits an outcry from all of us who are interested in the future development of the Cork region.

When ‘selling’ Cork abroad one of our strongest marketing points is the existence of an international airport. Many major pharmaceutical, healthcare and high-tech companies are located in the Cork region. These depend on a speedy cargo service.
