Beautiful village is spoiledby rubbish

WE HAVE being visiting Baltimore practically every year for over 30 years and have just spent Easter there. There were hundreds of sailing boats in the harbour all weekend and they were a beautiful sight to see. However, we looked at Baltimore through the eyes of a stranger and did not like what we saw.

* Rubbish bins were overflowing all weekend long. We did not see any trace of any of the bins having been emptied. We spoke to people from the US, Sweden, Norway and England and all mentioned the dirt.

* We saw discarded fishing nets on the road along by the old BIM boat yard, taking up 17 designated parking spaces.
