Former Ireland international Glenn Whelan takes interim charge of Wigan

Glenn Whelan has taken interim of Wigan after the club sacked Ryan Lowe on Saturday evening. 

Former Ireland international Whelan, along with Graham Barrow, will manage the League One side's first team affairs as the club searches for a new head coach. Whelan  previously took over as Wigan caretaker boss when the club sacked Shaun Maloney last year.
