OVER the past few months, there has been considerable public disquiet about the level of cutbacks in our health services.

There has also been concern over the fact that large sums of public money are being used to fund private practices in this country.

I view with concern, therefore, the fact that the Department of Health and Children has allowed certain health boards to refrain from placing patients with severe orthodontic problems on their waiting lists for treatment.
