Labour and SF would make good allies

YOUR columnist Fergus Finlay engaged in a highly implausible fantasy in his column (Irish Examiner, August 2).

Labour and SF would make good allies

Could I suggest that, rather than talk up the possibility of an alliance between Fianna Fáil and Sinn Féin, he ponders instead the remarkable similarity between the policies of his own Labour party and Sinn Féin?
