Concrete proof of building jobs myth

Every press release about a construction project always contains the words “and will create hundreds (sometimes even thousands) of jobs?”

Developers can’t possibly believe such nonsense, but they know it is the sort of fantasy that will make this abject Government start changing planning regulations.

There is no earthly hope that a construction project will create any jobs at all, except possibly one or two for the duration of the project.
