Cheap labour lesson

IRISH workers are learning the hard lessons of EU enlargement. Thousands of ‘cheap’ eastern European labourers are being employed at breathtaking pace, while long-standing indigenous workers get the boot.

Employers are shing no mercy whatsoever in displacing their entire workforce to gain extra profits.

Many people were happy with EU membership because of grant aid and muticulturalism.

However, the price being paid now is too high. Those who are advocating further EU expansion should think again.
