Church hypocrisy
They are now planning a day of 'atonement' for victims a day of fasting and prayer, a televised healing ceremony and the setting up of 'healing gardens'.
This is lovely, pious, flowery stuff, but there is no mention of justice for the victims (they only speak about 'apologising' to them). It is nonsense to say that the victims are "more important than the church," as this is like stating that turkeys look forward to Christmas.
It is only when the priest who completely ruined my quality of life through brutal caning when I was 13 does something concrete to atone for his evil that I will ever listen to the church again.
