Bad example

IN Kilkenny city last weekend, at 11.30pm, a young couple wheeled their son of no more than 18 months into a busy bar where I was present.

The couple were served alcohol. With this type of disregard for the child’s welfare by the publican and more notably by the child’s parents, I wonder what’s next - creches in nightclubs? Or have I spoken too soon?
