The airstrip alliance

WHEN I saw a picture of a US Marine Corps KC-130 at Baldonnel recently, I was disgusted. We have handed over another airstrip to the US war machine.

Thousands of innocent people have been killed in New York, Afghanistan and Iraq. At least we didn’t help to kill anyone in New York, but our Government welcomes the US military on its way to kill Afghans and Iraqis and, in June, will roll out the red carpet for the man responsible. Unlike Shannon, the Government can’t argue that Baldonnel “needs the business”.
