Who is corrupting UN resolutions now?

CON HAYES (Irish Examiner letters, July 13) blames the Arab-Israeli conflict on the fact that, in his words, “the UN vote was corrupt”, blaming it for partition that paved the way for the creation of a Jewish homeland and an Arab state in what was then British-occupied Palestine.

Who is corrupting UN resolutions now?

Two-thirds of UN member states voted for the resolution while all of the Arab member states Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Syria and Yemen voted against it.

Since that time the UN has expanded to include 21 Arab states and 52 Muslim countries.
