Awaiting an answer

IN a letter (Irish Examiner, December 29), I challenged An Bord Pleanála, the EPA and Indaver Ireland Ltd to deny that the proposed Ringaskiddy incinerators will discharge toxic ash and poisonous emissions to the atmosphere.

It is obvious from their non-response they are reluctant to comment.

Medical researchers are now seeing adverse health effects from incinerator emissions that are within the EU permitted limits (Dr Gavin ten Tusscher, EPA oral hearing). Neither the planning board, the EPA nor Indaver refuted this or presented evidence to the contrary. Can they do so now? I think not.
