Third-level fees will impact on the education of our young

IN A recent survey of foreign firms investing in Ireland, the education level of the people was cited as the main impetus for their locating in this country.

For a number of years we have been in the top percentile in Europe for the education level of the Irish people.

At a time when FDI levels are decreasing, impacting badly on the employment levels and the economy of the county, it is disgraceful to think our government is even contemplating the reintroduction of third level education fees.
