Asylum seekers costly burden

IT was with incredulity that I read a recent letter decrying the cost of rounding up illegal immigrants and that this was such a waste of taxpayers money.

Does not the author of this piece realise the cost of the asylum seeker issue to this country?

there is something wrong with our criteria, I believe that we attract bogus asylum seekers because of our ridiculous citizenship laws and relatively generous welfare system.
