FG should offer a conservative alternative

RTÉ recently ran a three-part TV series on the state of Fine Gael, past and present.

A similar series on the other parties would also be helpful.

Enda Kenny should realise that liberalism is out and conservatism is in. Look to America where conservative groups are in the ascendancy.

Conservatives believe in family values, in freedom, in less rather then more government. They are anti-abortion and pro-democracy.

What a refreshing change a party of that nature would be in Ireland.

Fine Gael could fit the bill if they had the backbone to rid themselves of the ‘liberal’ tag which is the cause of their poor standing today.
