However, the challenge to IFA on grain imports and the embargoes on groups of farmers and agri-industries who combine to promote their commercial interests prove that such 'collective' activities are now regarded as a mortal by the Authority, at the misguided behest of the Tánaiste and friends, including EU Commissioner David Byrne.

If it is intended to maintain this philosophy, then revision of other hitherto acceptable practices must follow.
