Drug-dealing republicans — where’s the proof?

THE Fine Gael leader, Enda Kenny, stated recently that the republican movement has been making money from various drug-dealing activities, and that the Colombia Three were part of this.

Last summer, a former RUC chief, Bill Lowry, in an interview with the Irish Examiner, dismissed media speculation that republicans were ever involved in drugs. Mr Lowry had around 10,000 RUC men spying on republicans round the clock.

Mr Kenny has hardly ever set foot in the North.
