THE space shuttle disaster seems oddly coincidental in the context of the crisis over Iraq.

One of the crew just happened to be an Israeli airforce pilot who bombed Baghdad in 1981 the same year that the Colombia was built and made her maiden flight. Perhaps some scriptural authorities may interpret the disaster as a providential warning to avoid war. JA Barnwell,
