Violence as an act of sacrifice in the Passion

I WAS irritated by Suzanne Harrington’s The Last Word column (Irish Examiner, April 2).

Violence as an act of sacrifice in the Passion

She equates Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ to a porn movie, adding insult to injury by referring to it twice as "Christ Almighty".

We can assume she does not intend this as a mark of respect, which puts it in the category of blasphemy.
