THIS is a very belated note of praise for the excellent teamwork of Sgt Adrian Lomasney in Midleton and gardaí Pat Grace and Karla Fay of Youghal.

During our stay in Ireland last October, we left our rucksack (containing passports, air tickets, wallets, cash, address book and film) under a bench at Youghal lighthouse.

We did not notice the bag was missing until we reached Ardmore, 40 minutes later.
