Not a healthy sign

THE post of specialist in orthodontics for the Health Service Executive (HSE) Southern Area was advertised with a closing date of May 2005.

Not a healthy sign

Unfortunately, the post was withdrawn by management within the HSE Southern Area.

It is well known that in the Cork/Kerry area the waiting list and waiting time for orthodontic treatment is excessively long. Why have management in the HSE Southern Area been allowed to obstruct the improvement and development of the clinical services in this manner? I thought the formation of the Health Service Executive was to improve the public health service and not to obstruct and undermine it.
