Most beautiful of all

IT’S a sad day in Ireland when a poll for the most beautiful women in the world does not list Maureen O’Hara (Irish Examiner, April 6).

As editor of the official Maureen O’Hara website at www.moharamagazine.com I deal with fans from age six to over 80 and the site receives over 300 visits a day. On St Patrick’s Day, and when Maureen’s films are shown on TV in the US, the count goes up to over 1,000. I think Ireland needs to take a second look at its native daughter, Maureen FitzSimons O’Hara Blair, the most beautiful woman ever to grace the silver screen. I understand her films are rarely shown in Ireland. How curious.
