The GAA is probably the greatest amateur sporting association in the world thanks largely to the efforts of its voluntary workers.
Week after week they give of their time voluntarily to coach young people in the skills of the games.
Special praise is due to the parents who transport their children to training sessions.
The GAA is also deeply indebted to teachers, primary and secondary, for their dedication to the games.
What a contrast between the efforts of all those dedicated voluntary workers and the attitude of the Gaelic Players Association.
