Courthouse eyesore – who’s to blame?

FOR three years the courthouse on Washington Street in Cork has been an empty, mouldering eyesore.

Meanwhile, millions of our tax euro have been wasted on renting temporary court premises on Penrose Quay.

These premises are so unsuitable that a lawyer who has to conduct his business there recently described the building as the “black hole of Calcutta!”
