Don’t single drivers out

AS A driving instructor, I wish to draw the attention of the motoring public to the new EU directive concerning the safety of cyclists and pedestrians. This ludicrous directive wants to make the driver responsible for all cyclists and pedestrians’ actions.

Don’t single drivers out

During the course of my work, I observe many cyclists who continuously break the law by riding on footpaths, weaving in and out of traffic (without looking), cycling three and four abreast, riding through red lights, against the traffic flow on one way streets and with no audible warning device, no front or rear lights and using no hand signals all of which are part of the law.

Let it be stated very clearly that we are all responsible for road safety, whether we drive, ride or walk. Any individual or group who is trying to impose this ridiculous rule upon us should be declared mentally unstable.
