It’s worth a try

BEFORE the powers that be place the pole in its hole on O’Connell Street in Dublin, might the Millennium Spike not be better employed on our West Coast, with a gigantic hairdryer attached, to repel clouds and provide us with a much-needed summer?

It makes much more sense than the original idea.
