Clash of the colleges

THE receipt of State-controlled examination results often coincides with publication of the results from many so-called private courses.

Some of these private course providers issue exam results on the very day that the Leaving Cert results are out.

It must be made clear to the public which study courses are under the supervision and control of the Department of Education and which are not.
