Weed them out

THE recent church abuse revelations did not come as a shock to many who were the victims of such degrading and humiliating actions. If justice is fairly to be applied, convictions must ensue.

The perpetrators of such vile deeds must be placed on a sex offenders list. A clear message must go out that this sort of behaviour will not be tolerated, regardless of the status of the perpetrator. Those who were supposed to be our moral guardians have abused our trust. Irreparable damage has been done to the church and the clergy.
