Republicans are accused without any evidence

I FIND it odd that some of your recent editorials and reports have been based on the certainty that the IRA robbed the Northern Bank and that Sinn Féin is linked to criminality, when no hard evidence has been produced thus far.

However, in the wake of the latest media feeding frenzy following the Northern Bank raid and the alleged money laundering operation uncovered by gardaí in Cork and elsewhere, it is worth recalling a few pertinent facts.

The only person arrested connected to Sinn Féin has been released without charge. No money was found in his possession.
