Deafening silence

THE DUP’s Ian Paisley, junior and senior, and Peter Robinson, are very conspicuous by their silence on the recent murders carried out by members of loyalist paramilitary units.

For such upholders of the law you would expect these pillars of society to feel obliged to impart to these same loyalists the advice they were forever giving to the IRA - decommission and cease all criminal activities.

Their double standards again demonstrate their lack of commitment to the Good Friday Agreement. On their past performance, this stalling on its implementation comes as no surprise.
