Many others who should have apologised

KEVIN MYERS screwed up big time. I, too, have made mistakes, and by God did I beat myself up over them. It’s hard to beat a Catholic conscience on that score.

By his instant and genuine apology I believe Kevin has sent out an important message especially to our young folk. ‘To err is human, to forgive divine.’

It’s a terrible pity that our Church, economic and political leaders weren’t as quick off the block in apologising for the multitude of nasty situations for which they were responsible in recent decades.
