We will not be subjected to the twice daily display of over-the-top police power. The loud roar of garda helicopters overhead; the wailing of sirens and screech of tyres as the hordes of gardaí break all speed limits in their mad dash from the jail to the courthouse.

The same courthouse in the heart of this medieval city, which by now should be used as a theatre or exhibition centre.
