Keeping the balance

THE heading on the article regarding the attendance at the Waterford Hunt St Stephen’s Day meet in Tramore read: “Annual hunt meeting draws 500 protesters” (Irish Examiner, December 27).

The gardaí estimate there was a crowd of approximately 200 who came out to enjoy the meet, with between 20 and 30 people objecting.

Traditionally, the Irish Examiner has a reputation for objectivity and impartiality. I respectfully suggest that a correction of this headline would help to maintain your reputation for balanced reporting.
