Children left in the deep end by city council

IN giving Douglas swimming pool in Cork to a private concern, the city council, intentionally or not, will be destroying Sunday’s Well Swimming Club.

No longer will the children be members of a club and all that it offers them in terms of friendships and loyalty.

In stead they will be members of a building. For some this will be too expensive. Another consequence of the loss of the club is the destruction of the hopes and dreams of the young, very talented swimmers now training there.
