There is ample evidence in the scientific literature that current levels of exposure to radiation from mobile telephone systems affect physiological processes. The issue remains whether or not these changes are significant.

In the light of this uncertainty and the vulnerability of certain groups of people, including children, we have written to Health Minister Mary Harney to ask her to consider regulations restricting the siting of masts in residential areas and also to issue guidelines on the use of mobile phones by younger children.
