ENVIRONMENT Minister Martin Cullen will be remembered for two things: he has squandered more than €50m of taxpayers’ money attempting to impose a defective voting system on a population who did not want it.

Similarly, in a backward attempt to deal with Ireland’s waste management problem, he is attempting to foist a network of dangerous incinerators on people who do not want them.

Mr Cullen has a blatant disregard for the will of the people.
