I AM a postgraduate student researching the Singer Sewing Machine Co in Ireland, from its start-up here around the 1870s to the present day.

Perhaps you had some association with the company as a salesperson, seamstress or mechanic; perhaps you went to Singer sewing classes in your youth? Did you learn to sew on a Singer at school? Did the Singer salesman ever call to your door?
