Outrageous attack on defender of the poor

I WAS outraged to read of Charlie McCreevy’s unwarranted attack on Fr Sean Healy, director of CORI (Irish Examiner, September 13).

Fr Healy is the defender of the poor and most vulnerable people in our society.

Mr McCreevy said that if we followed people like Fr Healy we would bankrupt the country. No mention of the Punchestown playground that Charlie built for the sheiks and fat-cat horsy set with whom he surrounds himself.
