Labour’s legacy

FERGUS FINLAY (Irish Examiner, August 26) states: “If we want a decent life we’ll have to live up to the legacy of Larkin.”

Labour’s legacy

I find this pretty rich coming from the Labour party chef de cabinet.

This party has a long history of betraying the working class.

When in government, it closed hospital beds. Its latest spell in charge saw the gap between rich and poor increase while Ruairí Quinn, as Minister for Finance, granted the lowest increase ever to the unemployed.

The Labour Party are good at putting red roses on their lapels, but when it comes to placing flowers on working class tables, they fail miserably.
