Facing the facts of life

MARY HARNEY is willing to tackle a problem that people seem to think doesn’t exist. Children as young as 11 are having sex. They are not being raped; they are having voluntary sex with other under-age children.
Facing the facts of life

I don’t like the idea, but I have to face the fact that it happens and the best way of dealing with it is face-on, and not pretending it doesn’t occur.

So, good to Mary Harney for doing something about it. It is more damaging to the child to have a child at 11 than to pop a pill. If parents knew where their 11-year-olds were, then maybe this would not be necessary.
