ENDA KENNY continues to speak out of both sides of his mouth on decentralisation. Last week he described it as a “shambles”.

In the Irish Examiner of January 23 he went further and committed to reversing “decentralisation if necessary” except, of course, in his own Mayo constituency.

Decentralisation of the departments of Social Welfare and Agriculture to Nenagh has contributed enormously to the local community. I am confident that forthcoming plans to decentralise in Thurles, Roscrea and Tipperary town will boost the local economy.
