In praise of the Pope
I’m sick and tired of all those columnists who have been given full rein to call for his retirement.
Do they not know he is led by the Holy Spirit? His willingness to carry on serving God despite his physical condition is a most powerful example to all of us to keep going whatever the odds.
Ms Harrington should also realise that within the Catholic Church there are many eminent medical experts who advise our Pope and they know that condoms do not prevent the spread of AIDS.
On the contrary, they spread AIDS. Of course there is none so blind as those who do not wish to see. Let us pray for our Pope against such attacks.
