In praise of the Pope

AS a Catholic I found Suzanne Harrington’s column (Irish Examiner, Oct 24) on the Pope very irritating and misleading.

I’m sick and tired of all those columnists who have been given full rein to call for his retirement.

Do they not know he is led by the Holy Spirit? His willingness to carry on serving God despite his physical condition is a most powerful example to all of us to keep going whatever the odds.
