IF ever proof were needed that the lunatics are running the Irish asylum, consider this:

We can have elective, non-urgent surgery in lots of smaller hospitals, but emergency services must be kept centralised so that accident and heart attack victims, and so on, must be brought long distances, so increasing their chances of not surviving. How ridiculous!
