IN your editorial on Saturday, March 13, you said that, unwittingly, Mr Bush has become a recruiting agent for the fanatics of Islamic fundamentalism.

Shortly before the invasion of Iraq, President Mubarak of Egypt more or less said the same when he declared that this war would create 100 bin Ladens.

It doesn't bear thinking about.
