EU constitution must not have hidden agenda

THE European Union is moving too far and too fast and the issue of EU primacy over member states is serious and unresolved, especially in light of the fact that the EU Commission will take legal action against heads of state over their recent decision regarding the Stability and Growth Pact.
EU constitution must not have hidden agenda

This is a sign of what is to come and implies the primacy of the EU over member state governments. I have asked the Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, to ensure in Ireland’s EU presidency that any EU constitutional treaty will not have primacy over member states. It is vital there is openness and honesty with the electorate on this issue.

I am pro-Europe, pro-enlargement, and pro-democracy; I am worried, however, that anyone who raises concerns or criticism by questioning the presentation of information, intention and debate by those favouring a federal Europe are regarded as anti-Europe.
