WHAT does Paul Kokoski (Irish Examiner letters, January 10) know about gay relationships? Most gay people don’t have children, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t in love.

How dare he patronise them by saying it’s lust, not love.

They’re probably more committed than many straight people. Take Britney Spears and Elton John. Britney is now in her second marriage at the age of 24, having previously been married for two days. Elton, meanwhile, has married his partner of over a decade. Who shows the greater commitment?
